Fashion journalist Kate Betts walks us through Paris during the 90's and the start of her fashion career. A great insight into the highs and lows of the industry and the lifelong friendships that Kate formed in Paris and beyond. My favourite part of this book was Kate reflecting on meeting a little unknown shoe designer who offered to make her a pair of shoes, with his great vision of using fish scales. She politely declined and later revealed this unknown designer was in fact Christian Louboutin. A great read for anyone interested in Paris or the fashion industry during the 90's.
