In 2008, Katrina Beikoff and her partner both accepted job offers to work on The Shanghai Daily and together with their two small children, they embark on a fantastic adventure- living and working in China for a year. During their year, Katrina is witness to a range of major events: a once in lifetime snow storm, a devastating earthquake which kills over 80,000, the Tibetian uprising, the enormous cover up of the Beijing Olympics, the melamine-tainted milk scandal and the crippling global financial crisis.
