AUTHOR: Greg L. Davis is an award winning aviation photojournalist and former USAF aerial photographer and combat cameraman. He has been published at the highest levels in the aviation and news industry for almost 30 years. He has previously authored or co-authored a number of books on aviation. He has documented Army aviation and the AH-64 Apache around the world to include aerial photo shoots during live-fire training and test and evaluation flights. He is currently a Public Affairs Officer with a large US government agency. A 24-year veteran, Master Army Aviator, AH-64 Pilot in Command and Air Mission Commander, Dan McClinton retired from the US Army in 2011 having deployed 3 times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom for a total of 37 months in combat. He is a recipient of multiple awards and decorations to include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and Air Medal. His aviation themed photography has been featured in numerous, books, publications and on Department of Defense websites. He is currently retired and living in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.
