This book will tell you good spots to look for wildflowers in the south west of Western Australia and how to put together touring routes ranging from Shark Bay to Hyden, Albany and Esperance. Perth is not neglected and one-day trips from there (including walks in Kings Park) are described. Possible places to stay are suggested. 233 species of the countless wildflowers you are likely to see are mentioned with many illustrated.
Dr Jim Barrow spent nearly 40 years working for CSIRO and 'retired' as a Chief Research Scientist in 1992. Post retirement he continued his scientific work but also devoted time to his wildflower interests. He is a past president of the Wildflower Society of WA.
