For well over a century, Frederick McCubbin has been one of Australia's best loved artists. This book features some 70 works, many of which have not been previously published, covering the last decade of his life, a key period in the development of his art.
Most well known for his evocative bush scenes, in this later period, McCubbin focussed on the landscapes around his homes in South Yarra and at Mount Macedon, views of the docks and industry, city life, portraits and interiors. He was one of the first Australian artists to depict the modern world.
